The Bakehouse Café, Biddenden
The Bakehouse café is in the centre of Biddenden on the A262. There’s a VW camper parked outside and usually space for a few bikes to squeeze in. If not there’s a public car park over the road.
The Bakehouse is a small family-run establishment with a cosy interior and a few outside tables. Menu is limited but I wouldn’t take that as a bad sign, and sandwiches are very fresh and generously filled. All day full breakfast is available with various options for around £11. Tea is made with real tea leaves – remember those - and comes in a vintage style pot with accompanying strainer and milk jug, a classy/retro touch. There’s a good selection of cakes, though mindful of post-Christmas dietary restraint I didn’t sample on my most recent visit.
Not a biker place but staff a very friendly, though I have chatted to other riders there but a good stop off if you’re in the area. Note – closed on Sundays.
