The better weather has finally arrived as I’m writing this and hopefully to stay for the summer, so get those practice miles in if you’re training or just enjoy some social rides, there’s plenty going on.

This month is unashamedly promoting PATTA for your benefit, if you don’t know what that is read below and never look a gift horse in the mouth.

And one last thing, I don’t say this enough, in fact I doubt any of us say it enough.

As we’re mid- way through the year join me in saying a massive thank you to all the people in LAM who help, plan, run, organise, arrange, cajole, monitor and generally make LAM the fantastic group that it is, without you we’d have nothing. That includes the Committee, Training Team, Observers, ride leaders and TEC’s, tea and bacon providers, group meeting managers, event organisers and helpers and anyone who contributes anything for the greater good of others.

And of course, if you want to give something back to the group whose helped you so much, we’d love to hear from you…

PATTA

What does that mean you ask… Post Advanced Test Training Allowance. 

So, what does that mean for me? Well, if you can’t guess by the catchy title, it simply means LAM are offering you £75 towards motorcycle training of your choice.

Why? LAM have built up a very healthy reserve of funds especially during lockdown and we have been looking at ways to use it to improve LAM full members and Observers riding skills and as a thank you for being loyal and long-term members of LAM.

Can everyone claim? Only Full members and Observers, however if you are an Associate and pass your Advanced test in the next few months yes you can book your training and make your claim before the 1^st of March 2025.

When can I claim? When you have completed your training.

How long have I got? Training must be completed before the 1^st of March 2025.
