I’ve always been a bit of a Bob Dylan fan, but until I saw the recent film ‘A Complete Unknown’ I’d never realised what talented motorcyclist he was. He able to start his 1964 Triumph Tiger 100 while remaining seated, with no appreciable movement from the right side of his body. (Older LAM members will be aware that electric starters did not become commonplace until the 70s) Not only this, but he rode this bike, a 500cc single carb twin, from NYC to Newport, as distance of around 180 miles, girlfriend on the pillion and they both ended the ride looking fresh as daisies! – Remarkable.
Thanks to Alice Dryden for her article about touring Portugal, which will hopefully inspire others who are now making their plans for the summer. Also, it’s great to see that you don’t need a GS, Multistrada V4 etc. to have a long, adventurous trip. Thanks also to Ian and Paul for the write up of the recent members’ ride. Rember that Progress is always keen to hear of your adventures, whether as part or LAM, individually, on-tour or whatever.
