LAM’s big night out at the Bike Shed attracted many of our coolest members to the group’s first social event in a long time.
Unfortunately the booking had had to be changed due to the rail strike and despite the cold weather around twenty of us turned up, though only a handful on bikes.
To the obvious disappointment of some both the barber and tattoo parlour were closed but nonetheless we were able to wander among some of the interesting bikes on display, including a Wankel engined John Player Norton and generally enjoy a convivial evening.
The LAM display banner I’d brought resulted in a steady stream – OK then one – of other customers interested in advanced riding but perhaps if we turn up as a group to a wider range of venues it will help to attract interest in the group.
Suggestions please for other social meeting places – though NOT the Ace Café – it’s just too awkward to get to.
