The cover picture shows me, David Rawlins and fellow LAMmer Mark Buckley having completed a day’s trail riding day on CRF 250's. It was a level 1 course, expertly led by Adam from Phoenix out of Foots Cray. It started with off-road riding techniques on site progressing from circuits and manoeuvring on grass to a series of technical obstacles. We then rode South East into rural Kent and spent a few hours on green lanes including a bit of Pilgrim’s Way, a rather hairy, muddy uphill lane and several loose downhill sections with steps.

It was a lot of fun as well as being very challenging at times and of course, I fell off several times. It was a small group: Adam, his mate Frank bringing up the rear, me and Mark. A new experience for both of us and well worth trying.

    David Rawlins
