A FIRST Pass!
So chuffed! I really want to acknowledge the help of all the observers that have coached me (Mike, Frank, Carlo, Mark C, Tony, Julian, Paul and Shaun) that contributed to my success, it wouldn't have been possible without you giving of your time and experience. And not to mention what I have learnt and had the opportunity to practice on various AORs, the m/c control day last year and the wet Norfolk weekend this year which involved many more members and associates. It really is a team effort, just pleased that I could deliver my best ride on the day. Oh, and special thanks to Shaun for proving that it is, in fact, possible to polish a turd!
I think this is the closest I'll come to giving an academy award speech!

I passed!
Special thanks to Stephen Pratt who has mentored me through most of this and has been a fantastic teacher. It has been a pleasure to learn from you. Also thanks to Mike Seary who took me on my 1st taster ride and Shaun Cartwright who did my first official OR.
A little secret for anyone who has an OR with Stephen Pratt, he has a button on his Explorer that fires roe deer right to left when you are out front. Hope to see you on a members ride soon!

Thank you all
Thank you ALL for your advice, support, time & sharing your knowledge you've shared since I joined. It's been a pleasure to meet you all.
You've all had an input to my pass in one way or another, whether it's been pointing me in the right direction or just a word of encouragement.
Really looking forward to the next stages of learning to be an advanced rider & to get out on some great rides & epic trips in the future.

I made it!
Thank you guys and a special thank you for all the Observers that helped me to get these skills. It was a long journey in the last months to change old and bad habits but I feel that now my ride is completely different compared to when I joined LAM. The way I think and see things I can truly say that it was worth every second that I devoted to it.
Even my commuting is now different. These skills help in every possible way, including the adverse weather conditions of my test.

A sad farewell
I will be moving this weekend to Hertfordshire and will no longer be able to come down for the great rides and events that the team put on. I would like to thank you, and all the team who helped to develop my riding skills to the level required to pass my IAM test and the time and effort (and hopefully some fun in the process ) that they took to invest in me. It's been a wonderful ride (pun intended) and I wish you and everyone involved in the club all the very best!
