  • Group Meetings

There are two main types of Group Meetings:
    1. Regular Group Meetings
    2. Social Group Meetings

Regular group meetings are held twice a month for Associates to benefit from Observed Rides. They are held at Banstead on the first Sunday of the month, and Tatsfield on the third Saturday. Associates are matched up with Observers and we aim to have one Observer for each Associate.

Due to the club's popularity, we sometimes have Associates turning up without booking in the shop, on the off-chance of getting an OR. In such cases, we may be able to help and have one Observer allocated to two Associates. However, this isn't guaranteed. If this happens and where possible, a Full Member may take Associates out for a Group Ride.

There is normally a Full Members ride organised at the same meeting. When Observer numbers are limited, we ask high scoring Associates to join the Full Members group, so we can allocate Observers to the lower-scoring Associates.

Social Group Meetings do not offer Observed Rides but are an opportunity for every rider to meet up to enjoy a cracking ride and a great lunch. These are open to all riders - Associates and Full Members. These meetings are normally well attended. If the group's too large, it may be split into smaller groups to make it more manageable and take up less space on the road. We use the drop-off system, so no-one gets left behind.

Social Group Meetings are free rides open to all LAM Members and Associates. Book on tracker for ride details and to confirm your attendance.
