Firstly, thank you to all of you who attended the AGM this year, I trust the light snacks and drinks were a welcome addition.
In case you hadn’t noticed it’s been another busy year in LAM, lots of test passes, plenty of F1rsts, lots of National Observer assessments successfully completed, 4 new Observers in training (now 3 as one has passed today as I write this) and a very full Tracker calendar. A range of LAM clothing and merch has been launched, oh, and I almost forgot, two Masters with Distinctions, Paul Brown is one and some other bloke who tagged along for the ride.
And you full Members and Observers remember PATTA is still alive and kicking until March 1st 2025. But don’t fret, we’re also looking at new ideas and initiatives to spend our surplus funds wisely, PATTA 2? who cares what it’s called as long as it helps us become better motorcyclists.
So, here’s a really big, warm thank you to the many Members, Observers and friends who help make LAM, LAM, we really appreciate what you do to make the group better. Anyone who has something to offer the group is welcome, from running a rideout to a workshop idea, from planning an event to cooking bacon, the more you can offer the group, the more it will thrive, grow and become a better group for us all.
Let the Committee, Training Team or any Observer know if you’d like to be more involved, even if that’s for a one-off event, we’re all ears.
I hope to see many of you at The Bikeshed Christmas drink again and/or the annual Cider Run to get in the spirit of things, but if not, I hope you just enjoy being a LAM member.
Ride smarter, Ride safe, Merry Christmas and very happy, healthy New Year to you and your families.
